ARLINGTON, VA (August 9, 2012)—Millsapps, Ballinger & Associates (MB&A), a service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB), has been awarded a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) in conjunction with Creative Information Technology, Inc. (CITI) for providing information technology and professional services. The MCC BPA supplies the government with direct access to a pool of qualified vendors capable of addressing the IT needs of developing countries deemed eligible for MCC assistance.
The Millennium Challenge Corporation was founded in 2004 by the US Congress with the purpose of delivering US foreign assistance by focusing on good policies, country ownership, and results in hopes of leading the fight against global poverty. Its main goal as a US government assistance program is to create a more suitable and effective use of US taxpayer dollars towards foreign assistance for developing countries that will create a lasting and sustainable impact.
The MCC has approved over $8.4 billion in compact and threshold programs worldwide that support the goals set forth by each country. Through aggressively implementing the contracts created, MCC has promoted growth opportunities, opened up markets, raised the standard of living, and created a more prosperous future for the world’s poor. The success of these endeavors is a rewarding tradition we are excited to become a part of. As the Director of Business Development, Vernon Iniss commented, “Our [CITI] repeated strategic partnership with MB&A has proven itself to be a forward thinking unit that is adept at providing our clients with real-world solutions that combine long-term functionality and capability. The Millennium Challenge Corporation is about supporting and nurturing the next generation which is a commendable goal that we are proud to get behind.”
Millsapps, Ballinger and Associates is honored to be a part of this groundbreaking and innovative approach to battling the global poverty problems. We look forward to helping improve the lives of the world’s poor and creating hope for a better tomorrow.
